Training Camps

Our training camps are unlike anything else

A select, high class group of dogs, getting daily, hands on training directly from Ryan. Working wild birds in Idaho, Montana, Texas, and other wild states.

This is the best way to get your dog in perfect shape, mental state, and readiness for hunting season, no matter where you pursue your quarry.

Winter Camp

Season: Mid December through February

Location: Mariposa Ranch, South Texas.

This is a bird rich ranch with 45,000 acres of training grounds. We are fortunate to be on the Mariposa Ranch where we can work wild bobwhite quail from mid December to the end of February.

This is a great opportunity to get your young dog into wild birds every time on the ground. If you have a dog ready to be broke out on wild birds, the Mariposa creates the perfect situation to point wild coveys and back broke dogs.

Spring Camp

Season: March through April

Location: Boise, Idaho

Developing wild bird dogs and teaching manners from controlled training. Focusing on the individual needs of the animal to progress where they left off after the hunting season. This is a critical time in many young dogs development where they either boost or get a layoff.

Summer Camp (session 1)

Season: June 15th - August 1st

Location: Montana Creating a foundation for learning, teaching concepts, harnessing control around birds and taking chase. Also focusing on conditioning. Getting the body and mind ready for the 2nd half of the camp.

Summer Camp (session 2)

Season: August 1st - September 15th

Location: TBD, on the prairies.

The location for this camp is still being decided. The goal is to be in a bird rich environment working with like minded trainers. We are looking between South Dakota and North Dakota. Dogs will be only run on wild birds (Pheasant, Sharptail Grouse, Sage Grouse and Hungarian Partridge). This is the section of the summer camp where we take all of our concepts taught in session 1 and transition to the real thing.
